NASA’s STS-7 Mission

STS-7 is NASA’s Space Shuttle’s is the seventh and second mission for the Space Shuttle Challenger. In this mission, they use various orbits around the world. The shuttle started from the Kennedy Space Center on June 18, 1983 and landed at Edwards Air Force Base on 24th June. STS-7 was impressive in the wear of Sally Ride, the first female American astronaut.

On June 18, 1983, Sally Ride became the first American woman to fly into space when the shuttle space Challenger on the STS-7 mission was launched from Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The STS-7 aircrew consists of astronauts Robert Crippen, commander, the first two-hour space astronaut; Frederick H. Hauck, pilot; and three mission specialists – Ride, John M. Fabian and Norman E. Sally Ride became the first American woman to fly into space. The two satellite communications have been deployed, ANIK C-2 for TELESAT Canada and PALAPA-B1 for Indonesia, both linked to the Payload Assist Module-D (PAM-D) engines. Seven Get More Special vessels on the cargo hold have various experiments, including a study that influences the social behavior of an ant colony in gravity.Ten experiments were suspended at Shuttle Pallet Satellite (SPAS-01) and investigated the development of metal alloys in microgravity and the use of a remote sensing scanner. The small control of the rockets of the orbiter is activated while the SPAS-01 is handled remotely by the manipulation system to test the movement in the extended arm.

Experiment 1: research into the research into space sickness. Other payloads in this mission are: Office Space and Terrestrial Applications-2 (OSTA-2); Continuous Flow or Electrophoresis System (CFES); Monodisperse Latex Reactor (MLR) and a Shuttle Student Involvement (SSIP) experiment. The STS-7 mission of NASA was successfully completed in June. The mission brought five astronauts on board the Space Shuttle Challenger on a 6-day flight. The crew has carried out several experiments and designated two satellites. This mission is remarkable that it was the first flight to the space of Sally Ride, with which she was the first American woman in space. Twenty years ago, the Soviet Union sent the first woman into space with Valentina Tereshkova on Vostok 6 in 1963. This high-rise of shuttleto take-off, which shows a long stretch of the Atlantic coast of Florida and a number of large cumulus clouds, photographed with a 70 mm handheld camera from the astronaut John W. Young, who operated Shuttle Training Aircraft (STA) to track the weather on landing and landing sites for missions from STS.
